.:. Tugging and Pulling .:.
Got my wisdom tooth plucked, or at least just the left side to start. Good news is, there's no pain. After all the horror stories that people are in so much pain that they can't eat and such, it's kinda anti-climax. Not that I want it to hurt la. The only reason I had to endure eating porridge for the day of the operation was cos of the numbness...super weird feeling...or should I say lack of it. By day 2, I was back happy eating hehe. Me and food xD.
And talking bout food. I got the opportunity to eat something special this week, at Chomp Chomp. To be honest, I've never thought that Chomp Chomp's food was any special. It's jus normal supper food, all happened to be squeezed under a small corner in Serangoon Gardens, hence the smokiness of the place. The food there also not say That special ar (no offence).
But...I tried this sort of dessert stall. Yummy Rainbow, on the left side. It has Egg Milkcurd. Think 豆花. But it's not 豆花. A little bit more yellowish cos got egg inside. And the texture is like pudding, just that it looks Exactly like 豆花. I find it very special, and nice too. The milkcurd gives the texture, then the egg flavour is subtle and not overpowering. I like :). There's also other flavours like mango and strawberry too. Might try those next time.
I also got to try Victor's Kitchen at Sunshine Plaza with GOF. In my opinion, worth the visit, but not regularly. It's dimsum is sooooooo expensive. The minimum price for each "long" is like $3, averaging $3.50. Not the kind of price I would pay for such a place. Though I must say, they do have certain items that's worth eating. The "Liu Sha Bao" aka Custard bun is to die for! For the first time in my life I actually ate a Custard Bun where the custard inside is Flowing. No joke. It's really flowing, to the point where when we try to split the bun, it became quite challenging cos the custard will flow out and its not to waste! Superb, just that everybody says that they can feel their cholesterol shooting up jus from eating that HAHA!
Another worth trying is their Carrot cake. It's not the rectangle kind that is normally fried or steamed. Theirs' is more paste-like. Served in a bowl with sauce on top. Real special.
Not bad...abit of good food in the week always makes my tummy happy.
This week I've also started on my volunteering, paying 2 visits to a youth centre at AMK. It's definitely a more practical way of using my time, then jus at home watching tv. And I've done volunteer like that before so its not a surprise or anything for me. It's not only me entertaining and teaching the kids. They are entertaining me as well. I'm alwas reminded of how simple life is for kids, when all they ever think about is how much play time they'll get and not want to do work. Kids~
Guess that's all bout my week ba :). Oh and before I forget. The reason for the title. It's my first time ever going to the dentist and they had to cover me up from head-to-toe for the extraction, so the whole time I couldn't see anything. And the way the dentist it, he drilled and he began pulling it out. I mean really PULLING and TUGGING. If not the anaesthetic, I dunnoe how painful it would've been sia.
Countdown, 8 days to ORD. Seems so surreal now its so close...
