.:. Penang .:.

Missed my usual sunday scheduled post, cos i was in PENANG!

As usual my family will try to travel abroad once a year, be it a near or super far away country. This year they chose penang cos the last time when they went to penang, I was in Australia. So sort of a make-up trip for me I guess. As well to eat the good food again of course.

It was jus a short weekend trip. Left on friday, came back on monday. I use to dun understand why people like to go for weekend trips. Its so short, how to relax enuf. But then now I know. Even though its such a short period of time, jus simply being away from work and such is very relaxing. And as long as you aren't following a tight and packed schedule, its possible to relax :).

This was also the first trip that my family went to that's non-tour one. So basically we hired our own driver, and he drove us around depending on what we wana do. The driver was super awesome! He seems to know all of Penang, and everyone in penang. He has contacts no matter where we are. And being a local, he knows where the good eats are. I dun mean the restaurant kind. It's those kind of shops that you as a tourist in a foreign land would never dare enter into.

OMG the food was jus too good. I haven't eaten so much in a short span of 3 days before. Char Kway Teow, Oyster Omellette, Wan Ton Mee, Prawn Noodle, Hokkien Mee, Bak Kut Teh etc etc. Everything tastes soooo good. And best, everything's so cheap! Don't have to worry bout it being too expensive, jus worry whether your stomach can take anymore anot haha!

Main thing was to eat, but we did a little shopping too. Went to this Komtar Shopping Centre. It's exactly like err...the shopping centre in orchard that sells all our teenage clothes and stuff...I forgot its name. Exactly same pattern. And cos the things are in RM, its cheaper. I got a pair of jeans for only RM39, and shades for RM15 :). Cheap cheap. Wanted to get a nice going-out watch too but no time. Oh well next time.

So ya, a short post bout a short trip. Lazy and too busy to upload photos onto my blog. Busy with personal stuff and gotta pack bag again for my GOF Malaysia trip!!! It's on my fb thou.

Can't wait for GOF Malaysia. First time overseas with friends only. And GOF at that :).
