.:. Wallaby .:.
Down under, here I come again!
Somehow my "leadership" trips are always affiliated to this land situated further south-east of singapore, roughly 7 hours flight away. When I was in sec school, it was a 10 hiking trip to Blue Mountains, part endurance, part lifeskills training. Up till now I still remember those days vividly. Spent an awesome time there with friends, and learnt pretty much alot of things.
Now, I'm headed towards there again, but this time as a soldier.
I wouldn't say I totally dread the idea of having to go there for army. No doubt all the preperation through the year, all the packing and stuff were all hardwork that nearly drove me crazy in camp, still there's this part of me that is actually quite looking forward to it. Maybe it's because not everybody gets to participate in this I guess. In a way its prestige?
Another reasoning I can think up of the fact that I'm going as a PS. I wanted to become a PS, so now I take pride in being in. And being able to lead my platoon in Wallaby I guess is going to be an invaluable experience, no doubt even though its army related. While we have our differences and difficulties sometimes, I'll still choose to go wallaby with no other platoons than the one currently. Perhaps its because after all these time of working with them, this is sort of my last exercise with them.
So with no idea what's gonna happen, what to expect, what stunts the men or even the higher up commanders will throw at me, I'm kinda looking forward to it.
Hurrah!
