.:. Southern Ridges .:.

Thanks to the idea of a very close friend of mine, I got the chance to go and explore Mount Faber. And for once I did bring my camera along :) nice photos to commemorate the wonderful day we spent together before I enter NS.

Met up at bishan for Swensens lunch. I totally luv the 1 for 1 treat deal, it seriously makes eating at swensens so much more appealing a choice now. I ate the Spicy Grilled Chicken Burger, 2nd time I tried it since I ate it with Ryan sometime ago. I still must say, the chicken isn't in the least spicy...I dun taste any hint of spiciness at all. But still I tink it was super worth it, the burger came with 2 pieces of juicy grilled chicken, meaning I get to save one for savour after the burger :) and all in all, its costs me $7.50!!! (thats simply abit more than a normal mac meal). Luv it.

After tat, its a 20+min train ride all the way to harbourfront. Out from Exit D, and tadah, Marang Trail is right infront of you. So it starts stairs all the way up, through the forests and all. I say forest, but know that actually, office buildings are always within sight no matter where you turn, not exactly a very 'nature' walk, but hearing the crickets cry is simply sufficient to bring in the atmosphere. And you walk with the road beside you...why walk when u can drive? Haha.

We walked from one place to another, taking photos, taking in whatever sights there is (with buildings all around in the background) and talking along the way. Talk, joke, laugh, relax, who cares what's going on outside of this forest, its the moment i'm luving. I strongly recomend the place to those who wan to spend quality time with anybody. We walked from harbourfront mrt to alexander road, I estimate bout 3+km walk? 2+ hours of pure talking time.

Then we bus to vivocity again, changed into something more appropriate for the place as well as to get rid of our "sweaty" shirts. Went to vivomart for a drink, was hoping to get snacks with my $2 change, but in the end din noe wat to get, so we jus settled for dinner at the foodcourt there. Still hungry, we went to chomp chomp for dessert/supper. Got to try a new creation, egg tau huey. As the name says, its made up of egg rather than the normal soy bean. The texture's like tau huey, but I cant identify the taste, it tastes like something i've tried b4, but i jus cant remember. Oh well I ate my "Or lua aka Oyster Omellette", must eat whenever I am there :)

So thats pretty much how the totally awesome day went by. Nothing like looking forward to an outing, and then you come out of it feeling totally happy.
