.:. Class Chalet 2009 .:.
Yup the long awaited class chalet 2009 has come and gone, and i must say it was throughly enjoyable.
So monday morning, even though i set my alarm at 9+, i got an early sms from Sushan saying she was officially down with flu. I tot it was a bummer to be sick during such occasions, for one i am a person who will KO when i am sick, so lucky me. Packed my bag, ate lunch and left home for pasir ris mrt. Met up with Jos, Diane, Yeow Kheng, Jeremy and Ter and we proceeded to the chalet 1st. Dropped our bags of, was joined by Boonbinand Wendy and we went to NTUC Fairprice to get the remaining supplies. Couldn't do anything/din wan to do anything till Ryan arrives, then we started preparing and starting the BBQ.
Who needs firestarter when u have Ryan (ok he still needs firestarter la), haha but ya managed a very decent fire if i say so (of course la i helped in making the fire ma lolz). So mainly chefs were Ryan, Terence and Me (in order of credits haha), standing by the fire, barbequeing the food and sweating. Was joined by more class people in the course of the nite, followed by teachers!!! Mrs Tan and her 2 cute little boys who stuck to her like glue, Mr Foo and Mr Neo with his Ben N Jerry's ice cream. Somwhow, Mr Foo got high that nite. On what i dun noe, but he was definitely high. He was playing the 2 little boys, and everyone laughed like mad. Then Mrs Tan and Mr Neo left, with not much BBQ left, we all proceeded into the room for highlight of the day, MY CLASS VIDEO!!! haha. Thanks for Terence for beinging his laptop. I dun noe why, but Mr Foo suggested this game for us, using a deck of cards and base on what card u get, u either eat the satay sauce and sprinkle mix, get someelse to eat it or play something. Was joined by Wenzhen and Mr Quek in the midst of the game, and he brought donuts. With rules like no saying of "I, You, Me, Him, They etc", and a very high Mr Foo, naturally he got to eat most of it, which provided a wholesome laughing time for all of us. After we all went out and had a couple of Yam-Sengs and cheers for Mr Foo. Polar Bear time!!! Due to the popularity of the game, and my laziness to explain it, I shall not haha. If I knew 04 would like the game so much I would have introduced it to them long ago. Personally was never a huge fan of the game, to me it was more luck, but like i always say, its the company that counts. So it was fun still. By bout 2+, Mr Quek left, was quite shocked he was such a party animal and he had school the next day leh. We then proceeded out to sit in the balcony and talk under the nite sky, which to me was super enjoyable. By bout 5, ppl were all KO-ing, so we went to sleep, while Ryan went to get a snack from Macs ( I tink he got lost).
Slept for a couple of hours, woke up and went to macs for breakfast. Seeing as the arcade has yet to open, we all sat outisde Gelare and played polar bear again, omg we are crazy. By 10.30, we all went up to the arcade. Those who were arcade people played, while those who were not jus watched. We played Taiko, Time Crisis (in which I epicly phailed), Drum Mania which Sushan claimed was a scam cos the pedal spoiled (maybe that was why the machine was not open in the 1st place), and I found a new game, Jubeat Ripples!!! Woohoo great game. Its basically hitting of a 4x4 panel according to music played, and best of all its JAPANESE MUSIC!!! For once there is a game in which I know what the music is and its in my playlist!!! Wa High ah. No wonder said I look very happy playing that machine lolz. Then something bad happens (like always), Wendy lost her wallet. With that, Ryan, Me, Joseph, Zhi Yong and Sushan went to play pool, and Sushan jus sat there taking pictures. Went to kopitiam for lunch, and da paoed for the rest. Played card mahjong, while the rest played l4d on Terence's laptop. At 5 watched Yu Le Bai Fen Bai, decided not to rent bikes for nite cycling, Sharon's arrival and then it was to E!Hub(again) for dinner. Walked bout 3-4 rounds b4 deciding to eat at JusAcia, which was total value for money (except Zhi Yong's meal). Then arcade again to use up what's remaining of the class fund , played Jubeat ripples again, and back to chalet. Played more polar bear, this time a couple of hours, b4 ppl went to sleep. We proceeded to go bath, and by the time we returned, most of the girls were asleep liao. So the remaining, Sushan, Jos, Me and Wendy went out to talk. Talked bout here and there under the nite sky, sushan being sick went in to sleep, leaving 3 of us, then later Yeow Kheng joined us. Further into the nite, seeing that Wendy keep nodding off on the chair, we managed to persuade her to go sleep and all went in except for Yeow Kheng.
3rd was not much. Woke up, packed and left our seperate ways. Overall, I would say chalet was still great, but lacking in somewhat the class sense as compared to last year, mostly i think because of work commitment and stuff ba. Sleeping in the room was no longer as squeezy as previous time, and the chalet was more cliquish. But it was still fun. And I hope we get to do make tis a tradition, like yearly chalet. I mean seriously, even with our NS commiments and University, I'm sure we can pull out 3-4 days for this wonderful class rite??? PLease let this continue :)
