.:. A-Levels .:.

There's always a muffled feeling...

Its shocking how time goes by. Our 2 years spent in NYJC seem to fly right past our eyes. From the 1st time we sat in NYJC's hall either in PAE or JAE, till us knowing our PW group, finishing PW OP, Block Test, Mid Years, Prelims and then now. We are up against the woo ha, the allmighty one, the big boss, whatever u wan call it. All our effort for the past year is gonna be judged in a meer 4 weeks...omg. In secondary school, i use to have the habit, say during July, on some random day, I would suddenly think bout what I am gonna do after the exams. Then when the day comes, I would look back, and be awed at how time flies.

After reading blogs and talking to people, I'm guessing everyone is using post A-levels as motivation to study. The light at the end of the tunnel, the gold at the end of the rainbow, the finish line. I guess its the onli happy thing we can think about nowadays. Like Ryan mentioned in his post, the mugging atmosphere in school is intense, every minute spent not studying is every minute lost. Take last fri for an example , suddenly the topic of prom came about, and we spent 1 hr thinking bout what we going to do after prom and sorts. We took bout 1hr to sit down and chat happily, and to finally think of something. Then its like the moment we are done, we jus suddenly seperated and immediately everyone's head is in their books again....spooky feeling. Arrrhhhh cant wait for after 3 weeks!!!

Me: Arrrhhh why i take so long to do this/sianz today din finish much work!!!
Ryan: Dun sianz, u Dalvin leh.
Me: So...???
Ryan: U finished the whole of pure math and pure bio leh!!!
Me: Cos not everyone like u dun need to study but can score ma...
Ryan: Tsk tsk.

Since I am talking on A-levels, might as well say how prepared I am. I think I am most prepared for maths (yes Ryan i can hear u saying I finished pure math syllabus AGAIN). Bio I did rememorise the notes, but while doing the papers I realise I am forgetting bits and pieces here and there, so will re-revise those bits, hoping my prelim bio aura stays with me. Chemistry, doing papers like what i did for prelims, but this time a bit lesser, sianz. Econs, my knowledge is there, but application into essay is a problem, so am trying to rectify it but doing essay outlines. GP ah, doing comprehension and reading essay outlines for content lor, who ask me to be chinese orientated. So ya, hopefully I can get 'A's and 'B's...I can still remember what Mr Foo said during the last parent teacher meeting,"I'm quite sure Dalvin can get A, but is only how many."

AAARRRHHH!!! I think I am thinking so much because of my elder bro...who ask him to score 'A' and 'B' only for his A-levels!!! Aiyo so hard to beat...sianz. Oh and u know what he said...he say me studying econs, market failure. So he came up to me and said,"U know for A-levels, i labelled my MPB and MPC wrongly...*smilez*" I was like "WHAT!!! How the hell did u get the grade u get one!!!" Haiz its stifling to try and compete with others...

Ok a short inspirational paragraph since Ryan did a post on rain too.

Ever tried looking out of the window, very focused at an object. Then it suddenly rains. The rain drops come pouring down, slowly increasing in volume. At first you still can see the object clearly, then slowly gradually, its gets blurer and blurer, until the point when you can barely make out its shape. But still you would continue staring there, because you know the object's there, just that its blocked by the tiny rain droplets.

In life, we all know our targets, for now most probably A-levels, but during the course of pursuit we meet obstacles. These obstacles come aplenty, blocking us from our final goal, but we all know its there, its only a matter of if we can persist till the rain goes over and there the goal is. We will face many obstacles, but these obstacles are very tiny, as compared to the journey we take. We can do it, the goal is there, you know its there, just go for it.
