.:. who supports u? .:.
Here's another inspirational blogpost.
This time was studying organic chem, alone in the room. The setting sun rays slowly creep its way out of the classroom. My notes flip helplessly against the current of the whizzing fan. There, sitting right infront of me, a chair, amidst the empty space, a lonely sight.
A chair, supported by four legs, and a back for the tired to lean on. When a person sits on it, why is he/she able to be so firm, without any sense of imbalance. This is because the majority of the weight would be on the sit itself, thus by physic's law of centre of gravity, the person would not fall. So does this mean that in life, a person's centre of balance is on himself, where it is the responsibility of the choices that he/she makes that make or break the person? So while others help, we must ultimately depend on ourselves to get our foothold on the ground, to stand firm our ground?
On further thinking, and staring at the chair, i realised something. If a person were to totally lean on the back, and trust the centre of gravity entirely, there would a shift of power, and one finds himself on the ground. So this led to the interpretation that in the end, one cannot be totally reliant on himself. Too trusting in one's abilities could lead to his/her fall. The legs of the chair would fail, and be lifted away from the gound. So given that the 4 pillars of support would be friends we make on our journey, does solo-ing make them lose their faith in us, and thus we would fall? If we were to lean on the back of our centre of gravity, it topples over. If we were to entrust our fate to the four pillars that are already supporting us, we would be sitting firmly on the chair.
So...there's my interpretation. Take a break, look around you, enjoy what's there, and you might find an explanation to life that suits u :)
