.:. Hope .:.
Inspirational post again.
Was walking the path beside the drain outside school, on the way to get dinner for the nite. After a day of chem paper 2,3 and math paper 3, it was a really nice peaceful walk. The nite was serene, the surroundings was quiet and i was walking with earphones in my head. With everything else shut out, i was in my own thoughts again, observing the surroundings. And then something caught my eye...
The small pavement path beside the drain, dimly lit with the orange light from the spreaded lamp posts. Walking through it, i realised something. As one walks through the path, starting with the 1st lamp post, your shadow appears behind you. When you continue walking, your shadow moves along with you, in a semicircle arc. After that it goes ahead of you, it stretches, longer, longer and then it fades out. And thats when u realise that you are out of light. You continue walking, moving to the 2nd light, and your shadow reappears, repeating the cycle.
So extending from this, lets say we portray the shadow as hope. A glimer of hope is what we all start with. As we progress in our journey to pursue whatever we dream of, its definite our hopes for it will get stronger. Yet things do not always go as planned, for sometimes we tend to get ahead of ourselves. Our hopes can too high, fogging our vision. Thats when we fail. We lose the hope, in that period of darkness, and only those who dare venture further on will see the next ray of light to re-ignite their hope.
But dun stop thinking there. Extrapolate, think further. What actually gave us light in the 1st place was the lamp, a manifestation of ourselves, a by-product of us. The light we depend on, was not there by itself, it was there because of us. We give ourselves hope in the 1st place, only to lose it in the process. So why can't we just rethink, walk on, and re-find that light that has always been there.
The light was not just there, it was made there.
