.:. Happy New Year .:.

Happy New Year to all!!!

A couple of years ago, on tis vry day something very important happened! No its the birth of me la, i where hv so "zi lian"...although i wun mind if u wan to think tat way :). Actually its the day that raffles found or stepped on Singapore, something lik tat.

Chinese New Year celebrations at NY was...different. Spent the morning having 1/2 lesson, then w8 1.5hr for cele. 1st was Jia Yen's performance, was expecting lion dance but turned out to be drum performance. Not bad for a change. Then was rangoli competition. Very weird to have it as a whole class. 28 supposed to work on a piece of art, but turned out the girls end up doing it all as it became too crowded. The guys leh, giv moral support lor. Then after tat 0804 new year outing. Supposed to be steamboat, but somehow or rather it became an outing to my house. Welcome to my hunble home :)

The guys played xbox, while the girls err...cam whored. Sry la my house isn't girl 0riented, wat u expect when there is 3 boys...So the girls jus cam whored lor. Then after we went to play basketball, where i found out tat girls playing basketball = very "chor lor". Wendy's became specless and Sushan got elbowed by her "husband", household violence lolz.

Now to talk bout new year. Ppl coming n going, visitng and ang baos...so common. But every year i m amazed at 1 thing. Its ns to sit in a corner and observe how ppl who seldom c each other start to chat. The dad's will gather together to talk bout work.

Dad 1: Hey how's work?
Dad 2: Sama sama lor
Dad 1: Still working at blah blah?
Dad 2: Ya lor. U leh?
Dad 1: Sama Sama.

Then a sudden change in topic...

Dad 1: The recent recession dam bad sia.
Dad 2: ya lor
Dad 1: All bcos of banks lor
Dad 2: Ya, cos the higher ups n banks long noe the prob but no 1 do anything so lik tat lor.
Dad 1: Its lik tat 1 ma. U got c how budget going help recession.
Dad 2: Ya, pump to manufacturing lor, then boost economy a bit.
Dad 1: Ya, tats the most govt can do, cos other sector not much control, so they bo pian pump money there to start the economy.

Ya tats wat the dad's talk.

Mum 1: Eh long time no c.
Mum 2: ya. How's yr son ah?

And it goes on and on bout the child, u noe la.

Then the teens leh...

Teen 1: How's sch? Poly JC?
Teen 2: Poly. u leh?
Teen 1: JC. wa dam hard ah, so bzy.

And they start comparing, onli to be stopped occasionally by the ang bao receving.

Tis fri 0804 coming my hse again, bai nian. I tink bout half will turn up? But i wonder wat the girls will do??? Any1 up for basketball again??? Pls bring yr arm guards and helmets hor. Oh ya n remmember help me clear my new year tidbits hor, lots left, lik nvr touch at all.

Now another song from the same band. Wat i like bout tis song is the harmony between violin n rock. somehow they both mix very well. And also the concept behind tis song is tat in everyone of us there us a melody, to each his own. So philosophical :) Enjoy!
