I read through Sushan's blog jus secs ago n decided to post bout our class 0804!!! First lets think of some words to describe my class:
1) Busy(like hell always)- how not to when homework is being done at a rate of 5homewrok/day but the homework download rate is like 10homeworks/day!!!
2) Tired- there will always be times when the whole class like kena plagued by some unknown sleepy syndrome
3) Happy- no matter how tired/busy we are, somehow or rather we will always find fun in something, be it stupid things ppl do or some lame jokes, it never fails to cheer the whole class up
4) Crazy- ya we are. Jus think how many ppl would go around Singapore and do mass dance at random public places lolz! Nt tat i m complaining...i find it fun actually. Its weird to c how some ppl initially rejects the idea totall but when they start dancing...smiles appear :)
5) United- There's jus some mysterious covalent bond holding us together. I cant explain it.
Tats jus some i thought of for now....more will be added
Here's some pics from our pic taking session

0804!
Now bout my PW group. A really great bunch of ppl...or to be exact 4ppl and a pet HAHA (if she sees tis i m so died!!!). We have a very capable leader whom we follow in lead, a good researcher who can find lots of info on the net, a pic finder who always makes us laugh, a bulldog to guard our meeting minutes and me...i guess i provide the place for 5 laptops n snacks(complementary of my hospitable mum arigato!!!). Haha tats my very efficient PW group! Will post pic of mascot next time :)
Okok, i noe i hvnt been totally devoted to tis blog lately, but tats becos of my busy schedule. One factor that greatly affected my blog rate has got to be my internet going haywire. I could not connect my laptop to my internet, thus unable to blog. However, there are pther factors that affect my blogging rate too. Firstly, the recently "past tense" Mid-years has resulted in me devoing my time to revision n exams. Also another factor is that i have been freaking buzy, n perhaps a little lazy to on my laptop n blog. In conclusion, the most determining factor is the breakdown of my internet as even if i wanted to blog, i still cannot. (lolz history source-based que)
During the June hols till now, i attended 2 camps.
The first was at St Gab's sec sch :). The juniors have organised a 1-day lib camp n cordially invited us the 2 pioneers of theZone(Me, LY n Nicholas), to be judges in a banner designing comptetion. I must say i was a little shocked at the new Lib. Mr Marcel Lee(principal) must have increased their budget greatly, for the libs has added new shelves and what we wanted most, NEW COMS!!!
Here's a few pics:
Out with the old...
In with the new
Compare: New theZone T-shirt on the left n the old on the right. i like the right better :)

The ever smsing LY haha
I must say i m really proud to see theZone coming along this path. Thinking back to the old days, it was just on the pure determination to bring in more pupils into the lib then and to totally wipe out the idea that the lib is a slack a CCA that led us to form theZone( of course with lots of constructive help from Mr Ng). We came up with many activities to instill the idea that theZone is more than a boring library but a place of your interest as well. We organised activities like Jamming and Photography competition. We stayed back EVERYDAY to plan for events after after event, emaling sponsors, getting resources and carring out the events. I must franckly say i really miss those days when the school beel rings n i would rush to the lib to have meetings on our events...it was a great experience that many do not appreciate. Ah the nice memories.
OK now about LTC( Leadership Training Camp), from 4th to 7th July. I tell u it was really great. The theme was Harry Potter. Students=Witches and Wizards, Teacher=Professors, Camp commandant=Headmaster, Facilitators=Prefects. The first day was an expected slow start. i dun really know u n u dun really noe me. So there wasn't really much communication going on, except for during meal times which i dun noe y. Tat night, the facils n us sat down for a facilitation session, through which they expressed our lack of team spirit. Hey i dun blame them for what they say is true.
The second day, we did High elements, where we had activities like rock climbing and zipline. Tat day we really bonded greatly, we belayed each other, encouraged and communicated. I guess that made our prefects alot happier even though we could improve more.
The third day, we had kayaking lessons. I was like err...i already have a cert for 1 star kayaking n i hv to do tis again...oh well. Normal teaching of the basics of kayaking on land, before we launch into the sea. Wa i tell u kayaking in the sea is really different from at kallang. The waves added more thrill, although more risk but i wa sable to handle it of course (lolz psps). The rest had some difficulty being their 1st time, so ya me n nick helped em. As i did 1-star be4, i am quite able in handling the kayak, but not as gd as the coach of course. The coach saw, asked if i had 1-star and then i said yes. So being 1-stars kayakers in the group, me n nick had to do the demos. So we did T-X rescue to show the rest. However, when we had to keep the kayaks, it was a terrible task as we were so uncoordinated. N ya we got scolded but we deserved it. During that night's facilitation, my perspective was totally changed.
At night, we had the Yule ball. Ya there were performances by each house, and interaction btw mcs n houses through games n cheers. The highlight was of course the dance. First mc said,"ok since the facils r seniors n do not noe how to dance the 30th and 29th, we shall do trad dance!!" I was like Yipee MASS DANCE!!! After that we danced the potter waltz 3 times, spinning here n there with different partners. After the VIP(Mr Quek) left, it was encore of MASS DANCE!!!. We danced 30th, wit n nick showing the others in front n i was dancing the girl's part lolz :). Then for 29(my fav) i danced my heart out!!!So cool
On the last day, we had kayaking 1-star test. Yay so morning we did revision on T-X rescue and capsize drill. After was the actual test. I tell u i nvr saved so many ppl in my life n nick nvr capzised so may times in his life. The coach was like, point to nick n said, " U go there and capsize.", then he points the the others in the group and said 1 of u go save him n reapeated on n on. For me, coach points to the rest, "U go capsize i wan c yr capsize dril". Then looks at me, "U go save em cos u do chop chop( it means fast)". I was like err...ok...so save save. Yay every1 passed the test, n now my arms r aching. But hey every1 passed so i was glad. Then when we had to keep the kayaks, maybe it was yesterday's scolding, we were alot more organised, forming human chains to carry the kayaks in efficiently :).
I must say the LTC was very beneficial to me. The facilitation sessions always left me thinking in my mind about what the facils said. And my perspectives was changed greatly. I also throughly enjoyed myself, how to not when u have great facils like Niang(mum in chinese), YeYe(grandpa in chinese) and Ah Yi(aunt in chinese). They were great facils. They brought ideas across through different ways of expression i was glad they were happy with the whole group's performance. So happy!!!
