Of peanuts, gua zi and lotsa packet drinks...
It's a been along period of time. With two of such happenings back to back. Sometimes, it just seems life is unfair. Yet so beyond our control. What happens will have happened. There's nothing more you can do but be on the receiving end.
Days just seems to be flowing past me. With so many things to do, so many things to settle, so little time. I think I need to go and find back the old "me" again. Thats why I haven't been blogging.
Just because I didn't cry, dosen't mean I don't feel. Yet what's the purpose of doing this...

Just a small update due to time shortage again. The number of things I have unfinished just keeps piling on day after day.
Met up with GOF, or rather just a couple of them who are free, to go sentosa to play frisbee. Quite sad cos there was supposed to be more people, but then ended up with jus 5 in the end. Nvm I'm gonna plan another one and hopefully this one will have higher attendance rate.
Ultimate Frisbee has always been appealing to me. Dunnoe why, but throwing that circular around just seems so fun. And then running around to catch it. Though I prefer to play it on the sand, even though it is alot more tiring. But fun nonetheless. Too bad I dun have friends who enjoys it like me :(
Next up, met Cabeiri for outing. Perks of having a friend who works there YAY! So I got to ice skate for the first time in my life. Was a little apprehensive because I couldn't even roller blade. But surprisingly ice skating is much much easier. Within that 2 hours managed to grasp the basics of it. Ironically, I can't seem master stopping in a straight line, but i can stop with a turn, which according to my friends is like a level higher HAHA! Hurray!! Everytime I chiong that short distance can feel the adrenaline rush. So fun! Though its scary to see pros zooming past you in circles all the time. Only down side, now my leg has this imba huge blister that has popped too. OUCH!
Maybe I should try roller blading again...

First and foremost, let me apologise to the consistent (if any) readers of my blog. I know that for the past few weeks there has been totally no updates at all. So so sorry. I've been so busy. In summary, had to prep go on a tour with my family, come back rest 1 day then go Scamp liao. N been busy going out after that till now. Phew~~ For this post I'm squeezing into my sleeping time to type it out, in fear I'll lose the inspirations.
Here goes...*Spoiler alert*
Before going to watch the movie, I saw many comments about it on facebook, mostly being negatory. Like it was not as good as the previous, failed to meet expectations etc etc. Naturally I went in without much hopes, was planning on just watching it as an action flick, no brainer. BUT...I was sooo wrong. The movie totally blew me out of my mindset from the start, and for the rest of the 2 plus hours, I was amazed at how well the script was written and the movie directed.
Let's begin with the pre-movie. The reason why there's so many negative comments about the movie, I think its because its a "remake". The problem with 2nd releases of movies is that there will always be a standard to meet. Regardless of whether the predecessor was a hit or not, it will still leave an impact on the latter. If it was a hit, people expects it to be even better. If it was bad, people expects it to be as bad. Either way, there's this mold that is created in everybody's mind for the film to fit in. And naturally in that way you can set it was set to fail?
But on the contrary, I think it was because of this that the movie shined for me. The scriptwriter didn't work towards following the footsteps of the predecessor, instead he/she chose to totally go in the opposite direction, sort of a reverse from the first release. By jumping out of the mold, it helped to make the story shine more, and the film is no longer comparable to the former, but instead now lives in its own light.
No 1: With great power comes great responsibility. This is the famous line that I believe everybody in the cinema is looking out for, but NO. They decided to not put it into the script. That's a "in your face!" for stereotyping I guess.
No 2: He dosen't shoot webs from his wrist. Well he does, but the webbing dosen't come out from his wrist, instead he uses a simple technological contraption to shoot webs. Reason...I also dunnoe haha!
No 3: The way he fights is totally different from in the former. Remember in the corridor fight with the lizard, where he was crawling around the walls and literally running around on the lizard's body. That's the way I expected spiderman to fight in the first place. Very agile, fast, able to use his reflexs to dodge close encounters, and massive spammage of webbing to stick the bad guy. Unlike the former, the fights were more "open", more elaborate, involving more running and larger fighting area.
No 4: Flash is like a nice guy now??!!
No 5: The points are interwined with the next reason, so I wun repeat.
The other reason why I liked the movie so much is because it portrays Spiderman as a superHUMAN. Yes he has special abilities, he can climb walls, stronger, faster, sixth sense, have web coming out from the back of his neck, but all in all he is still a HUMAN! A guy with a normal human attitude.
Many movies tend to forget this point. I would say even the comic books themselves sometimes misses out this point. We're all so used to the stereotype that because they are superheroes, they can do so many amazing things like saving the world and not die, that we tend to forget they are still flesh and blood, with emotions. And this movie brings this point out very very well.
No 1: Unmasking. This Spiderman unmasks himself/reveals his identity so easily. He takes out his mask to give a kid, tells his gf who is he, and even tells the gf's dad who is he. I tink even Aunt May nows (reference to scene where Aunt May is watching a tv report on Spidey's final battle and looks super worried). So much for secret identity? No longer your Friendly Neighbourhood Spiderman. More like Friend already.
No 2: He get's injured sooo easily. First fight with lizard he tio huge scratches liao. Needless to say the last battle. I dun remember the former movie seeing the hero tio huge gashes like the one in here. And when he's injured he dosen't treat himself, he goes to his gf for help. You don't see ironman doing that do you.
No 3: Swinging. The way the shots for spidey swinging/climbing around was very well thought out. Instead of the usual wide 3rd person view, they swapped it with a 1st person view, meaning as a viewer you're seeing from the eyes of Spiderman. So you dun see the smooth swing or straight climb up the wall, rather most of the time you see him bouncing up and down and the view abruptly changing as Spiderman abruptly jumps from one point to another. Removes the grandeur of the swinging, but in turn gives you a sense of how real it is, how Human spiderman actually moves. Kudos to the director for this point. Super good strategy.
No 4: Attitude. Maybe because he unmasks more, or just cos its on purpose. But this Spiderman seems to talk more. And because of that alot of emphasis is placed on his words, actions and emotions as a superhero. Like the carpark scene, where he owns the car theif, and even to the extent of bully him. Isn't that just a normal behaviour of a spoilt bully who has the power to make fun of others? This just slams home the point. Spiderman here is just a teenager still. He also has attitude problems like us that needs to be sorted out.
No 5: Help. Somehow this Spiderman requires alot of help from people. Like how did he get to stay in oscorp for the intern tour to be bitten by the spider, why he went to the police department to tell the chief warn him about the lizard's identity or most evidently the last swinging scene with the cranes all aligned. It just keeps saying that while Spiderman can do certain things we can't do, he still requires help from normal people to make it. Dosen't that make him like a normal human being...
In conclusion, I find this movie a very successful and entertaining one, despite the many critques out there. It has provided me with a taste of another perspective of how a superhero can be protrayed that no other movie has done before, much less a "remake" of one. The above are just my reasons for justifying, purely self deduced and as usual without substantiation or what so ever, so you can choose to disagree. But for me, I would say the movie was definitely worth the watch for me :)

传统是人做的.
Just finished watching the movie (Din Tao: Leader of the Parade). How I actually came about this movie initially was because 小鬼(Alien Huang) is one of the leads. So I started to take notice of the film, and when it became top-grossing in Taiwan I knew I wanted to watch it.
Idol aside, the story is based on real-life experiences of Jyou-Tian Folk Drum And Arts Group. They do modern interpretations of Traditional Taiwanese drumming culture, hence the base of the story. Summary. Tai (Alan Ko), after giving up his music studies in Taichung, returns home to his father from whom he has never felt his love before. Through some incidents, Tai took the callenge of being the Din Tao, with 6 months to lead the parade, or ship off. Of course being the modern younger generation, he want's to do things his way, which is faced with strong opposition from his very traditional father. Hsien (played by Alien Huang) plays the role of Tai's rival, who eventually joins Tai, and together to perform some grandeur event.
On to the interesting topic intertwined within the story that prompted me to want to blog about it.
Modern vs Tradition: This is perhaps the most telling point the movie is trying to bring across. The tradition of being a Din Tao, as well as drumming, is very much connected with the religious believes of the people. And as such the Art has a certain amount of respect to it, or rather a huge amount. For example, Tai's father treats the puppet costumes that personify the gods with great respect, objecting to Tai practicing in the rain in fear of getting the puppet wet. Tai, on the otherhand, wants to extend his own style of performance from the tradition, so that the performers no longer has to pose as gods to earn respect. It's not that Tai dosen't respect the Art, he actually does, just that he wants to do things his way. Like he wanted to decorate the puppet with modern LED lightings, which obviously angered his dad. In the end, he continued, but compromised by only placing the LED on the clothes and not on the puppet's face.
I guess this is a topic which has already been brought up numerous times. We see it all the time, in essays, newspaper articles, even the various programmes implemented to conserve heritages in countries, like Singapore's heritage conversation policies. And there really isn't any avoiding it, seeing that as we progress through the generations, new things/ideas are bound to pop up, and the confict between the old and new just as much.
So let's start with the definition of Tradition from wiki "A tradition is a ritual, belief or object passed down within a society, still maintained in the present, with origins in the past. The concept includes a number of interrelated ideas; the unifying one is that tradition refers to beliefs, objects or customs performed or believed in in the past, originating in it, transmitted through time by being taught by one generation to the next, and are performed or believed in the present."
Meaning? Tradition is simply the passing of ideas/believes down to the next generation, emphasizing on it having originated from the distant past. Traditions like Chinese New Year, originated many years ago from china, has pretty much kept it's basic structure and sense till now. I wouldn't say nothing has changed at all, some things has, but the original idea is still largely there. And needless to say the respect for that tradition has not really diminished in the sense either, retaining the fact that youngsters still adhere to most of the rules (albeit for hongbao money).
So Tradition itself isn't the point of the argument. What is. Well it's the change. Or what we perceive to be the change in tradition. As a fore note, I'm going to be using the loose term Adults and Teens here for the sake of ease of typing, with the Adults being those who witnessed and are carrying on the tradition, and Teens being the the latter generation who's task is to carry it on (no offence to either terms being coined).
For Change in tradition to happen, there must be the latter being substantiated first, which already has. So the Change comes now when the Teens are to carry it on. Issue being? That Teens believe in doing things their own way. I would say the reason for this is because of their upbringing. Living in the fast-paced society we are, they've been brought up to seek efficiency in everything they do. And being sort of at the cross-roads where this is happening, its hard not to say new methods of instructions are being produced daily. For example, did anybody ever thought their handphones would become touch-screen, or even have internet on the go. All these new things happening now, just serves to further reinforce the Change that is taking place throughout.
But has anybody ever complained about it. Well not much. So much so that everytime you take the MRT, every 1 in 2 is holding an iphone? And those without iphone is using Galaxy. What's the problem here then. Why do people complain about the Change in tradition, but not the change in their everyday lives. Both are changes arising with time, but people complain about tradition only, why?
I feel that the movie in the end reveals a much important truth to this question. Perception. Pride. Personal achievement. These are associated with the Adults along with the tradition they so dearly hold on to (and there's perfectly nothing wrong with the latter). But it is because of there "P"s that they resist the Change of tradition. To them, if there is a Change that is not made/suggested by them, it sort of dimishes their value in the tradition. They will lose pride, lose face, with the perception that they are no longer as important. In a sense, they feel attached to the tradition almost to a literal sense, that if there is a change and the "old" tradition is forgotten, they would too (which is why I feel the phrase, 传统是人做的,very well states this point).
Hence the resistance to such Changes. But there's nothing wrong with Change either, nor is there in promoting the conservation of tradition. Given the original meaning/definition of tradition, isn't it fine as long as the ideas/believes are being passed down, and most importantly the Teens do not forget the origins of it (Yes I know there are Teens who don't bother about the origins, but for the sake of me being able to finish this already long-drawn post, let's not dwell there). There's nothing wrong in coming up with new ideas/ways of doings things, as long as the meaning's there. As depicted in the movie, where Tai did his own style of drumming cum dance with the puppets, but did he in any part of the movie says that he will not still follow the original processions. No. What he simply want's to do is to extend the culture in his own way, so that the performers can be proud of themselves, so that people can recognise them. He respects the culture so much he actually kept a smaller version of the puppet with him at all times. He didn't diss the culture at all.
Therefore, it is this Change that prompted his dad's reaction. It is this Change that so many Adults tend to resist.
So after explaining all this, the conclusion is? Well no side is wrong. In fact both are right. It's a matter of accepting one another's views. The Adults aren't wrong in wanting to keep their tradition original. Understandably it holds a huge significance as well as sentimental value to them. The Teens aren't wrong either, in wanting to do things their way. It's how they've been taught to survive, it's who they are. Only by understanding, Adults understanding that Teens mean no disrespect to the traditions, and Teens know that Adults simply wants to respected and the tradition carried on, will this Change be gradually accepted in society.
In the end, we just have to all humbly keep in mind that Tradition is, and always will be, the important link that connects the past, the now, the future. That's what really matters.

First, let's talk about this new concept eatery, Javier's. When I first saw it, it was the concept that attracted me. Actually jus a salad bar, what makes it special is that it features a Fill-e-plate idea. Meaning you pay for a plate ($11.90), and you can choose whatever ingredients to pile on top, from either their cold/hot sides. No limit, just how much skill you have to pile it up. Interesting huh. Thus when I first saw it I wanted to try, and finally got the chance to.
The plate is huge enough, such that me and Ryan was able to share. Imagine 2 army guys sharing one plate. So in the end its about $6 per person? Pretty worth it. And it was ALOT of food. We had wedges, onion rings, hasbrown, mash potato, coleslaw, olives, cherry tomato, garlic bread and brussels sprouts (ewww). Scary huh. Eat until Ryan gave up haha! But if you notice something, it's all CARBO!!! Hence a very sinful meal. Not for those trying to lose weight or keeping fit (so why am I eating it???). Though it's really dependent on what you choose. We saw a couple take only a plate full of fruits...hmmm. Now that's healthy.
Other than that, you could also order a main dish, and then add $6 for the salad plate. But I assure you, the salad plate itself is more than filling.
For a country like Singapore, it really is a very suitable concept, with Kiasu-ism being our trademark. When me and ryan were forming our Everest, there were 3 foreigners behind us. Their face when they saw what we were doing is sooo funny HAHA! Well at least it proves I'm 100% Singaporean :).
Next up, Heng Kee Curry Chicken Noodles. It's been kinda an old haunt for me. But I only visit there with my parents. At Hong Lim complex, it used to be rather inaccessible. But now with the mrt (chinatown), it's very near. For those of you who don't know, curry chicken noodles is simply Boiled chicken (the kind you get for chicken rice), put on top of noodles and with curry poured over it, complete with potato and taupok.
Awesome!
I like the curry, cos it's not very spicy, and you can taste the thickness from the coconut. The chicken is also just nice, not too tough. I only order the yellow noodles, cos I feel that's the perfect combo. At $6.50 for the largest portion, you can ask for drumstick or wing, dependent on availability. That day I went there, 12pm nia, and the lady told me they sold out their drumstick by 11.30am liao :(. So had to order wing, which wasn't any worst. So for those who appreciates spicy soupy food, I highly reccomend it.
Lastly, Ah Di Bak Kut Teh. Being the Carnivore I am, it's not surprising for me to like Bak Kut Teh. And there isn't that many stalls that I go to often. This is one I went with my family before quite afew times. It's the kind of stalls I would describe as authentic old-style eatery.
Why? Because it's Bak Kut Teh with a boiling kettle for hot water for your tea at the side. Nostalgic wor.
The Bak Kut Teh there very good. Everytime we go, my dad would order the Pork Ribs ($7 for 2 in a bowl). Ya I know expensive huh. But it's really good. Top notch. The meat, even though very big piece, isn't dry on the inside, or what we call "char char". And the soup isn't very peppery. Just nice. And best, it's re-fillable. Plus the side dishes is quite nice. Like the salted vege. They also have teowchew steam fish, which was really good, just really expensive too. But all in all, I think's it's pretty worth it still. Just have to know what you order, and shouldn't end up too expensive. Plus you get to slowly enjoy your Bak Kut Teh while sipping tea. How nice :).
Yup. That's my food escapades for this week then. Who will complain of too much good food right :).
Added entry:
The top portion was supposed to be posted last week, but due to my volunteer commitments and such didn't have much time to do it. So adding on now. Luckily it's another food review, hence can combine. Woopie!
After so long, I've finally eaten at Carnivore. For a meat eater like me that's like a dream come true :). Those who don't know, Carnivore is a Brasilian restaurant that features an all meat buffet, with the meat carried right infront of you and sliced onto your plate on the spot. That's the concept.
I'm more interested in the MEAT. It serves quite a variety of meat, ranging from chicken to lamb to pork to beef. And they also do different parts, such as beef humps, chicken thighs, pork shoulders etc. It's good cos this way you get to try different kinds of meat and you won't be forced to eat the same meat over and over again.
I dun take beef, so I can't comment on the beef. But I went with Sushan and she said the beef was the best she ever tasted. And from the looks of it, seeing as how it isn't cooked all the way through will alittle blood oozing out, I dare say it looks great.
Chicken wise I loved the chicken thighs. It was awesome! The meat was still was juicy, fall off the bone kind, with the skin being very crispy. On the otherhand the chicken wrapped in bacon was only soso. Alittle tough I'm guessing cos of the bacon.
Pork wise, the first serving was excellent. When the waiter was cutting the meat onto my plate, can see the juice dripping out from the meat. Shiok ah! Best slice of pork I've ever tasted before. And kudos to it not being smoothered in sauce, so it's pure pork taste all the way to my tummy.
Lamb wise, not bad. I love eating mutton, and I dun mind it having abit of the muttony taste that many dislike. So it was fine with me :).
Only thing I found dismal was that maybe because we took the later half (they serve in 2 servings, 12pm-1.30pm and 1.30pm-3pm), after the first round of meat came out, the latter wasn't really as awesome. Didn't have the "wow" factor the first batch had. Other than that, it was all good. More than enough to fill my tummy with meaty goodness.
I guess those are the highlights worth me mentioning. Condiments wise nothing really special, afterall everybody's here jus for the meat ma. At least now I can say I've eaten at MBS before muahaha :). Definitely worth going again.

Had no idea how to title my post, so I came up with that ;p (Sorry about the delay in blogging too).
Obviously as you can see from the title, this is gonna be another food post, more specificly about the food I ate last week, which as the name suggests is more than one kind and hails from different part of the wor
In chronological order of the food that entered my stomach, I shall start with Crystal Jade Korean BBQ, at Nex. Slowly but surely, my family is trying to go to every single restaurant there is in Nex and try their food. So this time, we came to this shop. Firstly, let me state, this restaurant is what I term as Korean BBQ concept, not Korean BBQ itself. Meaning to say, it incorporates the idea of BBQing meat on a grill, but does not specialise in Korean cuisine. Think Seoul Garden.
Vareity wise, there was enough kinds of both uncooked and cooked food to keep me satisfied. The meats were marinated quite well, my fav being mutton and spicy chicken. There was also Pork belly, which is fattening beyond mention, but tastes heavenly. Steamboat wise, there's probably the normal selection of steamboat stuff, plus afew quirks like Lard and Pig Intestines(my fav). As for the cooked food, I didn't attempt to take any, cos none looked interesting enough to make me want to fill my tummy space. Dessert nothing very special, jus ice cream and jelly with different flavourings. So as you can see, the main thing that entered my mouth that night was MEAT!
Ambience wise it's not bad. Not very noisy, and what I like about it especially is the excellent ventilation. Maybe its because they used open vents instead of a covered ceiling, there wasn't much smoke hanging around. Pretty sure everybody does not like leaving a BBQ place smelling like what you just ate right.
Service was very good. The waiter were super prompt, the moment they see your soup finishing will magically appear and help u top up. And when you're table is cluttered, they will auto come and help you clear the plates.
Though only thing I can complain about is the pricing. I mean it's Crystal Jade afterall. Not really something as a teenager I'll go unless occasion alls for it, perhaps more of a adult place.
Next, Swee Choon. Went there with GOF. Sort of a send-off for mich. Didn't take any pictures there, sorry. I believe this is the first time I'm blogging bout this place. I've been to this place many many times, my dad likes to drive us to ulu places for food. I remember this place as the Backalley dim sum. Cause that's where you eat xD. I didn't know it was such a famous place until one night when GOF went there.
It's basically a Dimsum place, plus La mian. Afew special dishes to reccomend. The onion pancake is very nice, must eat with the sauce. Har Gao is my favourite. Banana and Prawn fritter was a good combination(think goreng pisang with prawns inside). The Spicy and sour soup is also very good. Though those who can't take spicy beware hehe xD. For dessert the Red bean pancake is also very good.
In total, 7 of us spent $105 there. Shows you how much we ate huh muahaha. Power of teenagers! And as a side track for recording purposes, another interesting news about GOF this time surfaced, or should I say an update. So we're now 2 down, 8 more to go? Haha :).
Last, on Labour day (hence the delay in blogging), went with my parents to Vivocity. No idea what to eat, we anyhow chose a restaurant to try.
As the name suggest, it specialises in Taiwan food. Take note it's not Taiwan snack/street food, it's their main eats. We ordered Pig Trotters mee sua, Braised Pork rice, Fried Tofu, Clams and some kinda mushroom thingy (which I didn't take photo of cos I aready started eatingby the time it came). And for drinks, I took Pearl Milk Tea. Don't question why I ordered that in a restaurant, I just felt right.
Though point to note, I found the place to be too expensive. Could be cos it was at Vivo. 3 of us, the bill was close to $70. Too expensive imo. Food was bad, but I probably wouldn't go there again cos of the price.
So once again that's another food post. Till next time, crave, eat and be happy :).

Let's make it showy!
*The following blog post is a pure fanboy rant about a super sentai series. Yes I do and am currently actively watching sentai for those of you who don't know. So unless u which to be bored to death, you may stop reading any further on. You have been warned...*
Just afew days back, I finished watching the 35th Anniversary series of the Super Sentai franchise, Gokiager. Yes Sentai has been around for 35 years, much longer than the number of years I've been on this planet. For those who do not know, Super Sentai is the original Power Rangers, in the sense that America bought over the idea and repackaged it as Power Rangers. And they didn't do so for all the series, starting only from the Mighty Morphing Power Rangers that we're all so familiar with only. But before that there were so many more Sentais before Tommy and Kimberly.
Being the 35th series, they decided to do something in commemoration. How, by simply bringing back all the other 35 Sentais! Epicness yo! All 35 years of Sentai in one series, pure fandom :). Summarising up the story, it takes place after the Legendary War, where all 34 previous Sentais sacrificed their powers to defeat a Zangyack(space invaders bent on conquering the whole universe), resulting in their powers scattered all over the galaxy in the form of Ranger keys. With the promise that gathering all 35 Grand Power would reveal "Greatest treasure in the universe", a band of 5 pirates (all hailing from planets destroyed by the Zangyack Empire) has come to Earth in search of the Grand Powers, in which consquently Zangyack has is trying to invade. The rest is, as you can guess.
Verdict bout the show. Best Sentai series EVER! The whole 35th anniversary idea was carried super well, without the notion of bringing back the past Sentais being cliche at all. As compared to the anniversary series of Kamen Rider, Decade, Gokaiger is soooooo much more well executed.
First let's talk about the cast. 2 characters to highlight mainly. First, Gokai Red, Marvelous(yes that's his name). I think it was very apt choosing Ryota Ozawa as the lead. Remember that this being Sentai, there has to be alittle kid element in it always, and there's just something about the way Ryota looks and acts(especially when he gives that smirks of his) that sort of brings out the child aura in him. Next, Gokai Silver. Not as much about the actor, but the character itself. He's your typical adult Sentai Fanboy, super crazy about Sentai, sort of like a walking Sentai encyclopedia :). I like how the script writer went to the lengths of including a Sentai Fanboy into the ranger list, especially this being the 35th anniversary, like it's a tribute to all the fans watching the fans out there. The way he got his Gokai Cellular is also freaking funny. Being as heroic as he is from watching Sentais all his life, he ends up dying in a car accident to save a kid, only to be revived by the sixth rangers from previous series to be the Sixth Gokaiger. Talk about max fandom Haha!
Second, their henshin. With the plot requiring the Rangers to transform numerous times during each fight, the transformation sequence is very important, otherwise the whole show get's too dull as it gets repeated over and over again. Which I'm glad to say Gokaiger pulled it off very well. Their original henshin isn't too fanciful, and I like how they used the original henshin voices when they cross henshin. Helps to keep the idea original and fresh when they keep changing inbetween fights.
Gokaiger henshin and roll call
Thirdly, Gokaioh. In other words, their megazord. Gokaioh has got to be by far the best looking one I've ever seen. Dosen't seem too clunky, and too fake. I also like how they incorporated Treasure chests into it to suit the Pirate theme.
Storyline wise. I like how ironic they played the idea, using the theme of Pirates for their anniversary. Throughout the whole series, the five would just not admit to being Sentais, simply brushing off just by saying that being pirates, they take what they want and wallop whoever they don't see eye to eye with. As expected all the way until the last episode. Kinda of a fresh idea, having Sentais who don't want to be, but wield the power of the previous 34 Sentais, for a 35th anniversary series. Nice. They way they included the the other 34 Sentais into the series is also very well placed, in the sense that even though they didn't mange to bring back all, they did bring back enough iconic actors to keep the anniversary feel in it, like Kenji Ohba :).
Lastly, All Sentais come with their signature finishing moves. Well I wouldn't say that the Final Wave Gokaiger uses is the best looking (it does get abit irritating when it keeps repeating Final Wave loudly), but Gokai Silver Gold mode's finisher(Gokai Legend Dream) is nose-bleeding epic. The combination of splitting all the sixth rangers, into the first 7 who uses guns, and then the 8 who uses swords, finally finishing with the Gokai Silver himself. Too badass idea. I LIKE!
You would have also noticed that his Gold mode armour chest plate has the faces of all the sixth rangers on it. Talk about anniversary tribute Haha!!!All in all, Gokaiger is probably the best Sentai I've watched thus far. Of course it does have it's bad moments. For example I felt that it's ending was rather rush, and the final few boss fights could've been so much better. But overall, it's a very well done anniversary series, definitely worth me rewatching again.
Last note. To those who still thinks Super Sentai is for kids, this series is like "In your face!". No kid would be able to enjoy this series properly, simply because they would not know all the 35 Super Sentais, much less appreciate. Even I don't know all of them. So this being the 35th anniversary, simply means that those who should watch this should be around 40 by now? Now who says it's for kids ;p
Opening of the series. Love the scene where all the Red runs past Marvelous.
With that, the most epic picture of 35 years of Sentai to end this wonderful post.

Looking up to the sun
Flying high, up high on wings
The heat dissolves them
and he falls into the deep sea.
A single tear drops into the serene water, creating a wave
That wave is blown by the wind and reaches far away.
The moon gently massages my shoulders
reflecting a yellow path on the water surface.
